Cholistan Desert

It is one of the largest deserts in Pakistan and also some part lies in India. It is a barren desert and most of the surface is formed due to the sand dunes. This rally is organized by PTDC annually to show the world the history and rich culture of this place. It is the winter tourist destination that invites motorsports enthusiasts to showcase their talent to the world.

Jeep Rally

Tourists from different countries come to enjoy this exciting event which portrays the soft image of Pakistan in the world. Locals of this area also get entertained by this event as they do not have such festivals in their locality. The rally starts from the Derawar Fort and usually covers Dingarh Fort, Marrot Fort, Khan Garh, Bhijnot Fort, Moujgarh Fort, and Jamgarh Fort. It is approximately 500 km long. Jeep rally is full of excitement, thrill, and sensation, tourist enjoy this unusual experience and also visit other attractions of the desert-like Desert Safari, cultural night, laser light show, camel ride, camping stay in the desert. Sightseeing tour in the city of Palaces, Bahawalpur, etc.

Other Important Things

When you plan to visit and explore the Cholistan desert, you can book a hotel in Bahawalpur and can visit some places like Noor mehal there. You can spend a night or two camping in the desert. There is a bazaar in which the tourist can shop for the handicrafts and mementos as gifts or for keeping as a memory of their visit.
